IGLTA opens call for 2015 convention speakers

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (3 September 2014)—The International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association will hold its 32nd Annual Global Convention in Los Angeles 8-11 April 2015. This is the premier global networking and educational event for the LGBT tourism industry and features the only appointment-driven LGBT buyer-supplier marketplace of its kind.

Each year, the association works to add greater diversity to its roster of speakers and session topics at the conference, covering everything from LGBT social media and lesbian market outreach to business development strategies that target key geographic regions. Past speakers include industry leaders such as David Scowsill, President/CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council; Selisse Berry, Founder/CEO of Out & Equal Workplace Advocates; and Spud Hilton, Travel Editor of theSan Francisco Chronicle.

“The IGLTA Annual Global Convention unites some of the most creative minds in tourism to provide our attendees with the educational tools they need to grow their LGBT businesses,” says IGLTA Board Chair Dan Melesurgo, who also sits on the convention’s education committee.

“For 2015 in Los Angeles, we want to raise the bar even further for LGBT conference content. We’re looking for speakers who are on top of the latest trends and will provide insights in an engaging way that will appeal to both first timers and longtime members.”
